GAZA CITY (AFP) - Three Palestinian farmers have been wounded by Israeli fire in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza near the border with the Jewish state.

The Israeli army said it was not aware of the incident.

Under a November 26 ceasefire, Israel withdrew its troops from Gaza and militants were supposed to cease firing rockets.

Since then, around 70 rockets have been fired into the Jewish state, and one Palestinian has been killed and at least six wounded by Israeli fire in the coastal strip.
