Israeli police officers secure a building as Pale

Israeli police officers secure a building as Palestinian men leave during clashes in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, Wednesday March 31, 2004. A group of about 15 ultra-Orthodox Jewish settlers moved into a multistory building and a smaller nearby house in the crowded neighborhood early Wednesday, sparking clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian residents. The move by the settlers is bound to infuriate Palestinians who demand east Jerusalem as the capital of a future state. It was unclear who had funded the move or whether the settlers had bought the building. (AP Photo/Oded Balilty)
