Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas reviews a guard of honour on the first day of Eid al-Adha, in Gaza City. Palestinians in Gaza marked the first Eid Al-Adha free of Israeli occupation but moods were morose amid poverty and grief for those killed in the past five years of Middle East violence.
