This 2-picture combo released Monday, July 5, 2004, by the Georgian Embassy in Israel, shows a priceless Georgian fresco before it was defaced, left, and how it was discovered, right, on Saturday July 3, 2004, in Jerusalem. The incident happened just weeks before Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili is due to make his first visit to Israel. Painted on a wall of a 11th century Greek Orthodox monastery in Jerusalem`s Valley of the Cross, the fresco contains what is believed to be the sole existing portrait of the legendary Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli.
